With so many brands and types available, how can you be sure you are providing your dog or cat the best quality nutrition? The 6 nutrients that support life are water, carbohydrates, protein, fat, minerals, and vitamins.  Nutrient needs change throughout an animal’s life. This can depend on their life stage. Is your pet a puppy or kitten, an adult, or a senior? Your pet may also have other nutritional needs influenced by disease processes, including obesity and diabetes, liver or kidney disease, urinary issues, allergies, arthritis, or brain-aging.
